OCFA RESERVE FIREFIGHTER

DRIVER OPERATOR ACADEMY

Description:

This course is designed to prepare qualified Reserve Firefighters to operate fire engines, fuel tenders, water tenders and patrols in a safe and efficient manner. The course will include a DMV firefighter endorsement class, engine, electrical and braking systems, as well as an intro to pumping procedures and basic hydraulics. This course also covers Defensive, Code 3 and Off Road driver training.

Class Dates:

July 8 - September 9, 2018 (Sundays and Wednesdays only)*

* Due to tower scheduling conflicts, night class on Wednesday, August 1 will be changed to Thursday, August 2

Times:

Sundays           0800 - 1700 hours

Wednesdays    1800 - 2130 hours

Dress Code:

Station uniform, helmet, gloves, and brush coat.

Safety Equipment is Required.
