The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Management Division is hosting an offering of the ICS 300- Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents and ICS 400- Advanced Incident Command System courses in June at the Orange County Emergency Operations Center.
The ICS 300 describes how the National Incident Management System Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
Focus Areas:
Describe the Incident/Event Management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the ICS.
Implement the Incident Management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.
Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.
Prerequisites:
IS-100.b, ICS-100, IS-200.b, IS-700.a, -800.b

The ICS 400 describes the roles and processes that are part of complex major incidents, including those where Area Command and Multi-Agency Coordination systems are utilized.
Focus Areas:
Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
Describe the circumstances in which an Area Command is established.
Describe the circumstances in which Multi-Agency Coordination Systems are established.

IS-100.b, ICS-100, IS-200.b, IS-700.a, -800.b, and ICS 300
