Description:
This course is designed to introduce students to the tools and techniques used to perform the duties of a Status/Check-in Recorder (SCKN). The course provides an overview of what a student can expect if dispatched to an incident.
Each student will need access to a computer that has the most current incident automation software. At the time of this publication, I-Suite is the industry standard.
Objectives
The desired outcome of this course is to prepare students to:
Set up and manage a check-in station.
Process information using incident automation software and other paper based methods.
Package the information into useful products.
Assist with demobilization.
PrerequisiteS:
ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
L-180, Human Factors
Basic computer skills in the Windows environment
Staffing:
No backfill, holdover, or overtime authorized.
DRESS CODE:
Station or Staff Uniform or business casual. No T-shirts, shorts, or sandals.

This information will be diligently monitored to assess attendance for future class offerings.
